I was wondering if any body has had the chance to line up the new kfx and raptor. I am interested in buying a kfx but I need something that stock for stock will out run the raptor. I will appreciate any info you all can give me. I was also wondering how this new machine did in the woods. Also can someone give me a (ball park) top speed. thanks again

 

Stock on Stock ... the KFX will out preform the raptor in any way you
can measure it. ..... excellllllleration, jumping, handling .....

My friend has a modifed raptor ...( jets/pipe/k&n/sprockets/wheel spacers) ...
and it is an even up with my stock KFX ( I weigh 80 lbs more then He does)

I raced a stock preditor about 5 times Sat...... about 100 yards .... I never
saw the back of that bike..... I suppect he would over take me if the
course had been longer ???

It is a wonderful machine in the woods.... wheelies on command .....
gotta be careful if you are seat ridding ... anything under 30 mph and
it will lift the front .. and .... well you better be pointed in the right
direction.

top speed stock .... about 70 mph

 

I just got my KFX700 out in the sand this weekend and right before I left a Raptor owner wanted to dance. So, dance I did......... Now, keep in mind that I have just the stock rims and tires and he had paddles so the test is not quite valid. With us both in the soft sand he was able to pull a couple of lengths ahead of me up to around 45 or 50. I'm not real keen on going faster than that very often. The second time we raced, I was on damp sand and he was on soft sand and I was able to beat him by a couple of lengths. I will definately be getting some paddles and rims before I head out next. Both our bikes were stock (besides his paddles) and I didn't ask if he missed any shifts. I of course didn't miss any ;-)

thanks alot for the info. I beleive I have made my decision. automatic, shaft drive 700cc sounds like a awesome woods bike!!!!!!!!!
