Default Performance Module P650 HELP!

Have I blown a fuse? Is there a fuse for that?

You might have blown a fuse.

If you got a crappy module (a cheaper model), you would need to make sure that the KEBC and speedometer are both still plugged into the stock speed sensor, and that the CDI is plugged into the modulator.

You might have to do some wire tracing to figure out which goes where.

Thank you for your responses. I hooked it up when i got it and it worked fine. I unhooked it and rewired and it wouldn't shift into 4wd. Fuse?

Well, it's not a fuse, I checked them. Any other suggestions?

Recheck your wiring; something's not right. Is the speedo still working? You've cut the pink wire to the CDI, not Te'ed into it, correct? The box output has to be spliced to the pink wire going to the CDI, and not to the end of the pink wire going back to the speed sensor. If you've spliced to the pink wire w/o actually cutting it off, you may experience the problem you describe. If the box is hooked up correctly, the 4x4 problem is being caused by something else.

And, as red650 said, your hooked up to the right box?

It's hooked up correctly, it wheelies and acts much differently now. I didn't tie into the pink wire, I spliced it. It's not a fuse. I have no idea what it could be. When I swith into 4wd, it makes the little noice it's supposed to make but it doesn't shift. I put it up in the air to make sure it wasn't saying it was in 2wd and actually it was in 4wd. It won't switch.

It must be something unrelated to the module.

Default Performance Module P650 HELP!

Hey Scott,

I talked to a guy today who had one of freedoms modules installed and he said that his reads 18 kph from a dead stop until he reaches that speed, then reads properly. Just wondering if yours does this or if he's got a glitch. Mine reads like normal.

Thanks

Steve
