first REAL ride
#1
just got back from a weekend in the southern tier of NY with my 650. its like a whole new machine with out 2ft. of snow! my dad was doubting the power on my 650 so he tried to smoke me on my grandpa's p400 (HA!) he was in high and i easily smoked him in low until i noticed i was in low so i stopped and shifted to high as he passed me then i gave him a REAL beat down.
a couple weeks ago i had the dealer tighten the belt when i got it home it chirped a little in neutral but then it went away with a couple of miles. over the weekend i noticed that when i had it in gear it would chirp at idle (quite noticeably) but if i took it out of gear it would stop. just wondering if its normal. thanks

If the noise isn't too severe then I would leave it. A slight squeal while idleing in gear would mean the belt is just a little tight. This would be perfect for belt wear and give you good bottom end response.
