hey nyroc i went to washington park today for the 1st time and loved the riding up there. my question is i noticed the pics on your web page of the washington park trails and saw some of a stone covered stream bed. i tried to find it today while i was there but could not . i was wondering if you could give me directions to where it is at. thanks

 

It is basically across the street from that parking lot with the map in it. Drive quad along grass next to main road (I forgot left or right, left I think) untill you get to a stream. Go down to stream, in stream, and through conduit under the road. Stay to left since there are some big holes in the concrete.

If you get on that stream with the flat rock, don't go all the way to the end, since it is a 6' waterfall. If you do get to the end, you should be able to backtrack a little and find a trail over the hill to the main river.

Keep your eyes open for deep spots.

There has bee a little contruction going on there. You may not find it as accessible as I did.

how big is washington park? me and my dad would go but we would have to camp out somewhere becuase we live to far away to make a day trip

 

Washington park is actually not all that big, but it connects to lewsiville county trails which can keep you occupied for days. Make sure you get a lewisville trail map at a gas station (some have them, some don't).
