Default mud tires and wheel advise

I have a 01 300 4x4 and been riding on the stock tires. I bought 26' mudbugs tires and itp steel rims. After mounting them riding on trails, in mud and water that was just above ankles while riding. the bike felt like it was struggling to get through the pit., i had to get down on the gas to make it. Do yall think i am just not used to this type of aggressive tire to ride on? or is the bike not powerful to handle these tires? should i have just bought some 26 or 27 bearclaws that are not so aggressive? what do some of the other folks out ther have on their bikes? thanks

It probably needs a power boost. Get some springs to help your motor out. Call the guys at erlandsonperformance.com and ask them what to do.

My bro's 400 was like htat until I put the white driven spring in.

Another thing you could do is shed some weight, meaning put aluminum rims back on it. Steels are heavier than stockers, meaning more rotating mass.
