Default 80 Badger Stator output - Experts please help.

I have an 80 badger, that runs and starts fine, uses almost zero battery power to run for a long time.... It's not charging at all. What should the Stator coil be putting out while running? Anyone? My book doesn't give output, but does show a resistance number.

I work on small enignes (below 23 horse) and they all have some spec to check stator output whilst running. It's given as an AC voltage of around 23-28 volts on most of the engines Ideal with, but they are all multi-coil stators like a Banshee or most other large ATV's I have seen. I haven't had to
t-shoot a single Stator coil type set-up and have no idea what voltage to expect....

While I'm asking, I should cover the possibilities too... Is it possible that the "other coil" for lighting, would produce enough voltage to allow a charge? or is it too low, and only good for lighting?

I have a 98 Badger 80 that I can't get any spark out of. Of the eight different wires coming out of the stator, I am not reading any voltage when trying to start it. Can you do me a huge favor and test yours and tell me the voltage readings on each of those wires when you are trying to start the machine? I am trying to narrow down which one of the coils, if not all, are bad. Thank you in advance.

Bumping an old one to the front.... I have taken the thing apart and still haven't a clue what I'm dealing with..... The pick up coil is on coil,... the charging coil is another. The one to the front appears to be the ignition pickup coil the back one is the charging coil. They are both available separately (or were at one time)..... You should be able to test the 2 individual coils for continuity and resistance....

This is an old post revisited. I still have no actual output voltages to work with....
