Default just bought a pred 90

I bought a preditor 90 for my sons birthday. I will be picking to up tomorrow. Just wondering what others paid for theirs. To see if what I paid was a fair price. I paid $2277.50 OTD. And, has anyone had any problems with theirs? Thanks.

A Boy I know has had shock problems and had to get a new shock. It was from jumping. Read: "Pred. 90 Rear Shock Problem."

How old is your son going to be? My son will be 12 and he wants a pred. but i dont know how fast he will out grow it i'am thinking about a quadrunner 160 or a breeze 125.

Yeah what you paid sounds like a fair price to me it's within $150.00 of what I paid. I bought my 11 year old one back in May and he loves it now of course he and his 8 year old brother are fighting for riding time. I liked the Predator because it seemed a little bigger than most mini's and it handles very well and I wanted a stable ride for my son's to begin on which this one is. I haven't experienced any problems with ours and he's road it now for around 2 months but with any quad there are always little issues that will pop up but I think that all depends on the riding that's being done and the care for the quad big or small.

Well, he got it today. He was so happy about it. That was cool to see. He rode it all day. Well he ran all the gas out that the dealer put in it. And yeah it is a little bigger the the other youth quads.

1999.00 was the price at a dealer in charleston,IL. thats about the cheapest ive seen. my 6 yr.old has been riding his for 6 months and loves it. be careful when you check the air filter, i had trouble getting the air box to seal up right , and had to squeeze water out of the filter several times.(he rides through a shallow creek) Ive also went through 2 spark plugs in the first six months so if it starts running bad thats the first thing you might check(its cheap and easy) I went as far as keeping a new plug under the seat with the tool kit just in case it acts up on a long ride. Im not sure but it might have something to do with running that small two cycle motor alot with the electronic governer restricting the rpm's. Ive taken the governer off and havent had problems since. I think its a great selection for a kids quad. good luck

A couple of questions now. After letting him ride it a few days I started looking closer at it. And it looks like a bolt may have fell out, or one was just never there? It is on the right side by where his foot goes(on the side of the motor). There is a threaded hole there. Like a bolt could of been there. But, it dosn't look like it would be holding anything together. Does anybody know where I'm talking about?. Another thing is sometimes when he is riding I can hear the chain hit the frame or something. That means I should tighten it?

Thanks

One more Question. When I take the seat off there is oil on the bottom of it. I see a hole in the cap where the oil goes, like a breather. Is it normal for so much to come out? Or how much is supposed to come out if any?

Take it back to the dealer and yes your chain needs adjusting. Ask about the bolt.
