Jetting a 2004 eton Viper 50
#1
I know that to add a new air filter or exhaust system on a 2 stroke engine you need to re-jet the carb. But, where
do you get the new jets. Is there a kit you can buy that has different sizes. On the 2004 eton viper I think it has a
Mikuni carb. Should I get this from Mikuni? Also, is this the main jet that is getting the new jet size. Any help here
would be greatly appreciated.

i get all my jets for my sons eton 90 at the local suzuki shop. most bike shops will have the jets. and yes it is the main you will need to change. what kind of pipe and filter did you use. on my sons 90 with a wrh pipe and uni filter i had to go from a 85 to a 120. its all in trial and error. whoever you got your pipe from should be able to tell you were to start. some pipes come with jets but if you go to a uni or k and n filter they wont be big enough.

I bought a uni filter and I am planning getting a wrh pipe. We are still not sure if we are
going to upgrade him to a 90. I bought this Viper 50 for him in June thinking it would be
too fast, but now he keeps wanting to go faster. The STQRA which is the group we race
with only has one youth class and he ends up getting killed by the 90's. He is only 5 but,
I think a 90 is what he really needs. We are thinking about getting a Kasea. What do you
think about Kasea and has your son raced against any with his eton 90. Seems like there
are more and better after market parts for the Kasea.

My 9 year old daughter rides a e-ton 90 and gets the holeshot everytime, shes just not aggresive enough to take advantage of the power through out the entire race. It has the identical power plant, clutch and drivetrain as the kasea and several other mini quads. Her quad has simple mods that greatly increase the performance. A Trinity pipe, malsossi reeds, K&N air filter, 1/2 pulley and lighter rollers. I was unable to find jets for her bike at my local dealerships so I had to use jet drills until I found the perfect combination. My daughter is small for her age (4' & 50lbs) and has been riding her 90 for 2 years so your son could probably ride a 90 without any problems.

i too have drilled some of my jets. once you figure out how to convert the inch size drill bits to the metric size jet it is pretty easy. my sons eton too has pulled the holeshot every race so far. anything you can do or buy for the kasea you can also do and buy for the eton. some like the foot brake on the kasea but it is a drum brake not a disc like the eton. both quads are good quads but we have had good luck with the eton. the only time we have raced a kasea was when our eton was stock. the kasea was also stock and the eton was much faster. but as said above they have the same engine.
