Sounds like a fuel problem. It may be that a vacuum is forming within the fuel lines. Unscrew the gas cap and restart. When the quad stalls pull the fuel line off the quad to see if gas is flowing. It may also be a plugged gas filter. Let me know how it goes.

Another idea may be the electric choke. My daughter's quad has to be very warmed up for it to run smoothly. While it was running badly, I unplugged the choke and it ran great...it just seems finicky.
Anyone know if these electric chokes are prone to do that?

I'm glad you located the problem, from what you were saying I thought that was it.
I am thinking of just putting an inline switch on it. Flip it on to get it running and then flip it off when it starts to stumble...almost like a manual choke. You could probably get some sort of handlebar mounted switch.
Try warming it up real good unplugged and then plug it back in. Her's seems to be fine once it is very warmed up and I just want to see if your's is the same way.
Does anyone know how the choke senses or what makes it adjust itself? Is it reading off of air temp or density of the fuel coming into the carb or something?
I think installing that switch may be my solution for now. I'll replace the carb when she's ready for more power.
As for the screws, I don't remember since I adjusted them after I put on the K&N.
