Dodgepower I meant 2552560973, Sorry
Any help is appreciated, what sort of speed gains can I expect with just the CDI swap.
Thanks again
That's the one we used... As far as speed gains with just the CDI, I can't say.. we did the pipe and all the other mods in one shot... with our 19T/27T sprocket set up, it'll do over 35mph. with the 19T/35T sprockets, it'll do 25mph+

Guys,
Thanks for verifing this for me!
I should have mentioned this is for a predator 90
If you are saying your studs scambler 50 will do 35+

With same type of mods the predator 90 should do a minimum of 45+
Thats not to far from what my stock warrior will do! (I think)

Next question is how to I put this mods on and mom not finding out!
I get in trouble now when he does wheelies in the yard

Thanks again!
This forum is a big help for kids atv's

well.. wheelies might be a thing of the past if you go with an aftermarket pipe... the factory pipes are good for low end, but the aftermarket pipes shift a lot of the power to mid and top end... some of this is overcome with clutch mods.

there's a write up at the kids korner on off-road.com with pipe info and dyno results.

The 35mph was with me (200lbs) on the quad on a level street... There's some video of my daughter racing it at www.apb-racing.com and www.gmqa.com.

When I got all the parts, I just showed up with them at home one day.. took my lumps from teh boss afterwards... one of those better to ask for forgiveness, than ask for permission

Sramblur 50,

I was wondering if the eton cdi is a drop in replacement
will kill swicth work, key swicth etc.
I noticed on another fourm you have a relay circuit to work
with one of the CDI's your talking about.
Some other people say the cdi is a drop others do not
What is your experience?

Thanks again!

The Eton CDI on ebay is a drop in.. all the wires hook up, except for the gray wire that is on the throttle...this wire is for keeping the kids from starting the quad with the throttle wide open.

The diagram that I had with the relay was during our experiments with CDIs on the Polaris Quads.. TRexTommy and I were trying to use a DRR CDI, and it had the kill switches working in reverse order (flip them off to run frlip them all on to kill it), and that where the relay came into play.

Someone (forget who) figured out the Eton CDI works, and we gave up on the DRR CDI.
