Anyone heard of a quad called a Kazuma? I'm just wondering if anyone out here knows the skinny on the company. To be honest, I just didn't want to spend a whole lot on a quad for a 5 year old that was going to out-grow it. It's a 100cc four stroke semi-automatic. If it's junk then which one do you recommend...bang for the buck.

I don't know anything about the 100cc, but I bought the 50cc for my daughter last year for Christmas. So far it has been a great mini quad, lot's of power, and in my opinion the quality is good. For the price I don't think that you can go wrong.

I have a 5 and 4 yr old. Got the Kazuma 50 about 4 months ago and love it! $829 -- can't beat that!

 

My daughter is 6yrs old. It has been a great beginner quad.

 

What happens when it breaks and you need parts? Don't know anything about them, but I would look into this a little more. It sometimes does not make sense to go cheap early, only to find you need to spend big bucks later. There are other time proven quads that aren't that much more. I have a Kasea Skyhawk 50 for my 5 yr old that has worked great. He is large for his age, and fits him just fine. He will, however, outgrow the power soon. If he did not have two younger brothers I would have gone with the 90 and left the restrictors in place until he was ready (same size frame). There are numerous others out there; Polaris, Dinli, LEM, and obviously Yamaha, Honda, and Suzuki. I have heard good things about the Polaris and Dinli, as well as the Kasea (that's what I chose after doing much research). The others have been around for ever but tend to cost more for, in my opinion, less machine.

 

I did a dealer search and I have to that are not to far from me. I have contacted both and they assure me that if I ever need parts they can get them.

 

Thanks for everyone's input. It's been extremely helpful. Going into this I was leaning toward a 90 and putting some type of restrictor plate on it and let him grow into it. It sounds like to me (according to 2gordons) that they come with restrictor plates in place.

Yo Anchor! They have throttle limiters in place also. I never used it because I wanted my daughter to learn how to use the throttle. The best thing to do if and when you get one is to just lock it in 1rst gear and work your way into 2nd gear and then learn how to shift through the gears.
