hi spsocal...... thanks for the info..... i gave my son his a49 for x-mas... alittle cold here so we've only ridden about 3 times up here in pa.... so far only problems i noticed was that the throttle limiter screw was too short to slow him down and also his strobe in front quite working.... i took it off and noticed just a bad solder inside.... about a 20 min fix..... but other than that it has been great.... alittle cold blooded... but once it warms up it's great... did yours seem to come off throttle slowly to get to idle until it's broken in?? thanks again...

MCRICH5150, THIS IS WHAT I HAD TO DO TO SLOW MY SONS TANTRUM50 DOWN. TAKE THE THROTTLE STOP SCREW ALL THE WAY OUT . THEN TAKE THE NUT OFF THE SCREW AND PUT THE SCREW BACK IN WITHOUT THE NUT. THIS WILL SLOW IT DOWN SOMEMORE . U CAN SCREW ALL THE WAY MIN TILL IT STOPS BUT IT WANT BE LONG TILL HE WILL WANT SOMEMORE SPEED.

yes mcrich, very very cold blooded.... even here in So. Cal. runs rough till warmed up and over a few rides it gets way better.
**** thanks for the tip giles... was wondering how to slow it down a little, my 4 year old has no interest in keeping all four wheels on the ground.

what i did w/the throttle screw was to take it out and get a 2" long allen head with a nylock nut.... works great. you can turn it down till absolutely nothing if you want....i believe it was either a 4mm or 5mm bolt size.....

WOW - I'm a POLARIS guy but just wasn't impressed with the kids Predator 90 - it definitely looks the best, but the BEST kid quad for the dollar is the Xtreme ProReverse 100cc. I bought one for about $200 LESS than a Predator 90 and got: a gear for reverse, front lights that can be yellow LEDs or full headlights, a bigger motor, a bunch of carbon-fiber looking hop-up parts, a disc brake in back, a cool chrome front bumper, a very nice helmet, and a stainless exhaust.
Very impressive machine so far - perfect for my 9 & 11-year olds to get their confidence on.
Anybody know where I can get performance parts for this baby?!
