Default New 04 Predator 90

This weekend I am picking up new Predator 90 for my son
Can anyone give any advice on break in etc
I read I should remove the jumper from the cdi unit right away and govern the speed with the throttle screw
Any thing else to know
What kind of oil should I use
Any help/advice would be great
Thanks

Read your manual 5 times and cross reference each page forwards and backwards. This really helps... For break-in, your manual probably recommends 50:1 premix for 1 full tank of gas. After this, start using pure unlead gas in its tank. Your manually probably recommends Polaris Injection Oil in its oil tank and doesn't recommend any brand of pre-mix oil in its gas tank. Your manual will describe how to remove the CDI jumper and how to set the throttle control. Due to safety, some people want to use the jumper and the throttle screw at the same time. I've been told to remove its CDI jumper and only use its throttle control screw. Did I mention all new quad owners should read their manual 5 consecutive times???

From a safety perspective, ensure its driver (big or small) can lock up all 4 tires in a brake skid. After that, they are allowed to leave your back yard.

The most important thing is.... Have fun!!!!

That's what mini-quading with the kids is all about.

we use the VES2 oil from Polaris, it is what your bike should come with, it is a bit expensive but for as little as these use its not bad. Plus it kinda smells like bubble gum. The break in is 1 tank of the premix and make sure your dealer has that in there when you leave, I believe they are supposed to. Also remember the chain lube, you will go through quite a bit of this.
