Default jag jet 50

ok check out this link

http://adcache.atvtraderonline.com/5/0/8/65803608.htm

it's for the Jag jet 50 by jagpowersports, the guy tells me this lil 4 stroke will go 30 mph, i know it says 3.8 hp for a 4 stroke, but that still seems pretty fast. So my question: Is he full of B.S. or is this possible from a stock mini-50. I'm very intrigued because it's a bad looking lil bike, and their regular 2 stroke 50 looks almost as good as their mini-50. Anybody know about Jagpowersports, the dealer said they are the same Taiwanese motor manufacturer as Bombardier/AC, i think he said "TGB", not quite sure on that name though.

Default jag jet 50

I bought a Jag Jet 50 for my son last month. I wanted a 4 stroke because I enjoy breathing, and it was by far the nicest 4 stoke mini that I could find. My son just turned 3 (40lbs/40 inches) so I have him limited to about 12mph. He spent about a year on an electric so even his first ride on the Jag Jet was no problem. I only stopped him a couple of times with the remote because he was distracted. The only modification I've made is building up the floor boards by 4" to fit my son's 3-year old legs.

I don't know about 30mph (yet), but it does seem to have plenty of power. I would not be surprised if it pulls 25mph on a smooth flat stretch. It climbs hills very well and it pulled through 6 inches of snow without a problem - the tires are suprisingly aggressive for a mini. After about two months of experience, I have nothing bad to say about the unit - it seems to do everything it's supposed to do quite well.

As with all mini's, ground clearance is an issue on rocky trails, but it's still better than most. The front suspension is very stiff and the rear suspension is somewhat stiff, but that's typical for mini's. Kids seem to naturally try to corner at maximum speed, so the stiff front suspension really helps keep the shiney side up. Suspension comfort for kids is really a non-issue - they jsut want to be able to tear around corners without flipping over and land jumps without getting bucked off!

Hope that helps...
