We have purchased a xtreme 50 for our 6 year old son and I think he already needs a little more power and speed. I don't know much about these little quads so any help with ideas on easy performance mods will be greatly apprecatied. I've heard about a green wire on the cdi box on some minis, but does this one have it and what does it do. I have also heard about a washer between the head and the pipe what does this look like and how do you remove it. Is there any way to overide the rev limiter. Thanks for all the help and sugestions.

 

Don't think the Xtreme has the little green wire, but it might have other restrictors like a washer between the head and pipe.

WRHRacing or Miniatvs.com would have performance parts and info.

 

I also have a 2001 cx 50 and there is no green wire on the cdi box and i checked the for the washer and could not find one try going to minni atvs .com they may be able to help
