Couldn't let the quad sit for more than 4-5 days and couldn't kill the quad without getting it up to full operating temp then running it. Not following these rules meant it was time to pull out the chain lube (starter fluid). Got frustrating at times. I am so happy I switched carbs!
I'm assuming the manual choke is an add-on because the specs I've looked at, the carb looked identical to my old 16mm mikuni knock-off??? When he says "hard time starting", I'm assuming it runs OK once it gets going?

Maybe it was an 18mm? Just looked at the eton manual I had again. Dated 2002. Looks identical. Auto choke too!
Sounds like they found a better system. As usual, thanks for the info Yeller!

Hey Group,
Dicovered the problem. After pulling the plug and discovering oil in the head, the oil was creating a hydraulic lock keeping the piston from moving. Now it starts no problem
Thanks for all you help
