Selling modified machines
I will be selling our LT80 very soon (hopefully) and have been watching alot of different places at how modded quads sell. Is it me or is it hard to sell a quad thats been modded with out practically giving it away? I watched a shifter quad on E-bay for a week and no one even bid on it. I saw 3 very modded LT80's on there and they were the same way. (By the way, they were a steal at the buy it now price compared to building it yourself) Has anyone had luck getting rid of their modded little ones?

IMO, I think that it would be difficult to sell a modded quad for a couple of reasons:
1. Usually the only people that would buy a modded quad can and would like to do it themselves because they understand the changes
2. Most people that buy mini's are buying them for the first time for their new young riders and are insecure of excess speed
3. They may also be new to the sport and would like the dealer support in repairs
4. The new buyer may be weary of the skill of the modifier and may doubt the experience
I would think that the best market would be a track environment where the potential buyer could test out the unit or has been beaten by the quad.
My $.02,
