Hi guys, please dont laugh but i have a question about a power wheels,,i got my son the new KFX 700 power wheels, sharp looking bike,im sure all your kids have had one at some point in there life right?? Anyways,i want to know if you can get some sort of traction setup for the tires, works great on grass and all but the tiniest bit of snow he just spins and spins, i was gonna drill sheetrock screws into them but i dont want to ruin his tires, any ideas guys, even a homeade setup would be cool, thanks!!

You mean they don't make snow chains that small?

I'm still looking for paddle tires myself.

Seems like I remember seeing some type of rubber rings that you could put around the tire to help with traction, they were on Ebay. You could probably make some out of an old inner tube if you can find some small enough, maybe some for a 12" bicycle?I thought about doing the same thing to my daughters Jeep, just never got around to it.

My son has the Powerwheels Sportsman 700, and we have problems with traction too. I don't know of anything that is sodl to make traction, but I've been thinking of getting some stainless hex head screws and drilling them into the plastic wheels to act kinda like studs in the grass. I also considered getting a car tire inner tube, and cutting out sections and then wrpping them around the wheels for on paved surfaces. I never did do either of these, but just sharing some thoughts.

My daughter has that exact model, and yes there is something you can do. Get an innertube from either a 10" bicycle tire or from a small lawn mower tire, split it cutting the valve stem out of it and stretch it over it. It generally won't help in grass but concrete, gravel and dirt you'll see a huge difference. But the snow... I'm at a loss.

Hope this helps...
