Oil change for Eton Viper???

.

We have a Pred-90 that also has a CVT Tranny. To change the CVT Oil on our unit, I remove the tranny plug at the bottom, let the oil oil drain out, then squirt 7 ozs of Blue Polaris Gear Oil into the top plug of the tranny. Since the top hole is so small, using a small funnel is a "pain in the tail". Tonight, I purchase a little fluid injector tool. Looks like it might work better. For a visual, surf: - Press Here -

To check its oil level, I then check against its sight glass. For details, surf: - Press Here -

For your E-Ton unit, I'm sure its a simular process. However, I did read once that its Oil Injection tank bracket might be in the way. If I remember correctly, E-Ton uses a dip stick. Hopefully, an E-Ton owner can provide more details for you.

Hope this helps....

Oil change for Eton Viper???

My sons eton 50 is that way. I just removed the oil injection tank bracket and it just had a little knob that unscrewed not a dipstick and used the container that the gear oil came in cause it had a small neck.

Oil change for Eton Viper???

I just changed the oil in my kids Eton Viper 50. Drain the oil out of the plug to the bottom of the trans. Then get a 80-90w gear oil and a PUMP. The refill on mine was 100cc. I used ratio-rite to measure the 100cc of oil and then pumped it into the trans. Pretty simple operation really, take about 15 minutes. Good luck.
