Default OIL INJECTION QUESTION?

I just recently bought my son a new Unison Desert Cat 90. My question is when I start it up I notice that it does't start smoking for about 30 secs leading me to believe that it's not getting any oil for that amount of time. Is it wise to remove a major part of the bike that soon after it is new, as far as warrenty is concerned.

If I do it I'm a little confused about the throttle cable, can I use the same one or is it best to buy a new one.

Thanks
Roman

The first couple of tanks should be premix along with the oil injection.
The oil injection pump also has a bleed srew on it, you should be able to bleed any air out of the pump. While your looking at the pump make sure the cable pulls on the actuator when RPMs start to rise.

Just leave it as is and do the manufactures recommended procedure, that why if it doesn't get enough oil it is their fault and will have to fix it free. When the warrentee is up then just pre mix the gas yourself. I've heard the oil injection system will stop working without you knowing and that is not good for obvious reasons. Most people I know do this with their oil injected machines.

It could also take that long for smoke to get through all of the baffle plates in the exhaust system.

Probably not.
Most pre-delivery sheets have a check off box for bleeding the oil pump when it applys to a 2 stroke.
At least a gallon of pre-mix during breakin.
That is for a reason.

Alot of new bikes(if you still have the stock pipe on) will have a restricter in the pipe. It will look like someone put a washer in it. You can remove the washer, it makes a huge difference in power.

Where is that at where it connects to the motor or somewhere else. Do a lot of machines also have them in the carb somewhere.

Thanks
