Default e-ton viper 50 --NO POWER

We just bought our son a E-Ton Viper Mini 50, brought it home for him to ride and it has no power, the little adjuster screw is almost at full power. Can anyone tell us what could possibly be wrong.

.

A few questions that might help us / help you....

- What exact year is your Eton 50 (re: brand new or used)?
- When did you bring it home?
- How was it stored during the winter (if applicable)?
- How many riding hours before you noticed "loss of power"?
- Other then throttle adjustment screw, was any other changes done to it?
- Was loss of power sudden or gradual?

Answers to these questions will help us.

BTW: Welcome to this forum....

Did you adjust the rev limiter? It sounds like its hitting against the rev limiter. Not sure about the mini 50 but the 70 and 90s have adjustable rev limiters.

There is an adjustable rev. limiter just behind the front screen. When looking from the front it should be on the right side, it is black with a white dial on it. They normally leave the setting on 0 or 1 when you leave the dealership. It goes from 0-7, Have you adjusted this yet?
