Polaris 50 vs E-Ton 50
#11
I have a Eton viper 50 now with a 70 tope end and I cant say enough good about this little ripper. I have a smal part in a video of it at a WORCS race racing a stock 70 and a stock Pred 90 and has even beat a few modded 90's!!!
The nice thing about the Eton is the chassis is same size as the 90 pretty much so they dont grow out of it so fast. Also, the whole dynamics,AArms ect. of the Eton seem a little nicer on the Eton IMO. Also, as your child grows into it , you can buy aftermarket for the 50 from companies such as WRH like we did and still make it stretch a bit longer w/ breaking the pocket book. here a link to the vid

Thanks for all of the feedback. We are not looking to race, but who knows what could happen once he starts riding. I want to buy a dependable 50cc quad that will grow with my son. He is 4 years old, so at first it will need to be governed down. Then I will open it up as he is ready. I have heard that with the Kawasaki this is difficult. With the E-ton you can tweak the rev limiter from as low as 2000 RPMs to wide open. I am not sure about the Polaris. From a quality standpoint, I know the Kawasaki is a good quad. A friend of ours has one for their daughter and they have been pleased.
Does anyone own a Polaris Predator 50 that could offer some feedback?
Thanks,
Scott

Raptorlegs,
When you say the CDI is limited on the Polaris, can you explain further? Are you saying it can't be limited like the E-Ton? So, from what little I know, I would not be able to easily adjust the speed/RPMs on the Polaris like with the E-Ton.
Thanks for feedback.

No, I mean it's limited by controlling the maximum rpm's it can turn. The cdi would have to be replaced if you really want to increase performance. Whereas, you just turn the dial on the eton. Not sure there are many performance parts out for the Polaris yet. I know there is a ton for the eton 50.
And don't let anyone fool you. These mini's are pretty gutless in stock form. I would guess you'll be upgrading or trading either by time he's 6 or 7 tops.
Make sure you let him sit on a few min's to make sure he fits. Big 4 year old will fit the eton. Small 4 year old probably won't.

there are plenty of things that you can do to the suzuki/kawasaki 50 to get more power out of them as the young riders skills develop. i have already ready done a bunch of little things to my son's suzuki lt50 and it runs quite well. ct racing sells a nice little kit for the bike. there are other things that you can do also to get even more power out of those little engines. those bikes must not suck to bad since suzuki has been building a version of it since 1983.

consider the eton 70 we moved our son to it when he was 5 at 4 he rode a raptor 50 fine bike but very limited and a lot of money to drop when we relized he had out grown the bike, with nothing we could do to keep him happy on it, the equivilant of a barbi jeep. quad junkies son rides the snot out of that bike we have raced against brandon its a fast mover with the wrh parts on it, that bike flat out halls. weston is the red eton 70 stock he is six now and we have been able to increase the performance of the bike as his abilitiys have increased.
dont be afraid of the off brand minis
