LT80 Mods
#1
I see all the mods everyone talks about on here for the LT80. Is there a website that maybe one of the members has that shows how a lot of these mods are done. I just thought if there was pictures of these various mods, it might be easier to make them, for example the clutch roller changes. Thanks

Hows it going, I have a Lt80 with a Jack Moore race motor, +3 A-arms, Trinity Pipe, extended rear axles, Works shocks, nerf bars, custom chain tensioner, and a few more things. I have a ton of pictures but they are all over 150kb so i cant post them in my profile. If you give me your e-mail I can forward them.

I also agree, Jack did my LT80 motor as well. It starts right up everytime. We don't race it, my wife rides it but now we can't keep my son off of it (he has a stock LT80). This thing surprises me. It gets faster everytime we ride it. Even friends with bigger bikes don't believe its an LT80 motor. Jack is a pleasure to deal with and he knows what he is doing.
I have done other mods so my quad looks much larger. You can use LT160 front arms if you move one of the mounts but i would recommend using the JLAtv front a-arm extenders. Then buy a set of LT160 front shocks off of eBay. The shocks are cheap, they keep your geometry the same but offer so much more travel than the stock shocks. For the rear you could uses spacers. There is a thread on here that someone made some cheap ones with longer 3/8" bolts and used nuts for the spacers .

As Chumbini mentioned, I originally used the 3/8 bolts as spacers front and rear. Just pound out the original studs and replace them. Used the bolt and 3 nuts, made a great difference.
Still have the bolts in the rear, but I bought the JL front end extenders.
With a stock motor, I just removed 2 of the front clutch rollers and that helped also.
I also may have scored a big one. Just found a guy at the races this weekend with an LT for Sale with Jacks motor. wahoooo.
Hey Chumbini,
Will the LT160 shocks mount right up on the Lt80? or do you have to do any mods?
Good Luck MyKid, the fun is just starting
