Just purchased last Fri. Anything to watch for?? Seems like a descent machine. Already ran 2 tanks through it in 3 days. Does have a oil burning smell to it. I'll have to look into that. Just looking for some feed, good or bad. Thanks

Good luck on your purchase.
I've looked at those and am curious about how that little quad does on the low end for power? What's your experience? Can it pull your little one up inclines from a start? Or does it need a bit of nudging (like my Polaris 90)? You may want to give us a review once you've had it for a month or so.
Enjoy!!

I bought my 6 yr old son an 04 50cc AC last year. In my book it is one of the best mini's on the market. He was undefeated in 17 XC races last year on it! He has put this quad thru Heck and back and it just asks for more. If Michael can't tear it up it can not be tore up! I just replaced the rear brakes with well over 27 XC races on it and about 10 MX races plus it gets around 10 hours of hard practice a week in hard XC conditions. It's now a highly modded 70 and he rides with me and the big guys all the time. They can't believe this quad will run around 40 mph and will go anywhere. As a 50cc quad it would climb any hill he ever tried. And he would try any hill I ask him to to!
My buddy's boy races the AC 90 also and it rocks!
You got a VERY good quad don't worry! But there are alot of restrictors on the AC quads. There is a spacer in the variator you should remove to allow the pullys move closer together and make the belt ride up more for more top end speed. Also the cdi needs to be replaced with a norev cdi, and they also came with a 50 tooth rear sprocket, replace it with a 32 or a 35.

Yes, I got the four stroke. Probably won't do any racing. Kids are brand new to the sport, so I want them to get some hours under there belt before I start pulling out the clutch spacers. Got it set for about 12mph. Seems slow right now but, my 7y.o. daughter just doesn't get it yet. My 9y.o son wants to 100mph. As soon as I am comfortable with their riding abilites, I start letting of on restrictions. Seems like a nice quad though. Is there any headlight option or does a guy go aftermarket? The '05 comes with a tail light/brake installed.

Is the 4 stroke a honda clone engine. If I'm right I believe it's the same as it's cousin the Bombardier 90 4 stroke. It's a 4 stroke honda clone engine. My buddy has the bomb and it's a great quad. You still didn't go wrong with tht AC quad your kids will get years of fun and enjoyment out of it. I bet there some proud little kids. Hope they ride safe and have lot's of fun. I still haven't split the cases on our's yet. It still has the stock bottom end bushings on the lower crank! The gears and lower half of the engine are still the original parts from the factory. And I mean this quad has HUNDREDS of very hard hours on them. I really love this AC quad. They are verry tuff. So I could amagine what there 4 strokes will do for durability. Well once again enjoy your new quad.
