I have had my sons 2002 LTA-50 since new, it is a great quad. I put the FMF Pipe and a jet kit on it. It really woke it up on the top end. The tech at the shop where I bought the pipe told me that they are working on a clutch kit to help with the bottom end power. He said he would call me if it works out. I will post if I get it.

You do not have to re-jet if you take the restrictors out. There is one in the intake and one in the exhaust.

Hi all,i am so glad to have found this forum,i have got a suzuki lt 50 86,the problem that i have been having with it is that when you give it full throttle the bike wants to cut out,its sounds like the bike is been starved of air or fuel,i have tryed everything to fix it myself but got nowhere,i have been reading all the posts about taking out the restricors, would doing that help my situastion, another thing i have noticed is that with the carb it is missing that back funnel with the holes in it.could that be a problem too.if none of these options help the power loss, please what do you guys advise me to do,i would like to fix this problem myself but im ganna need some help

If the carb is missing the lid to the air filter (the part with the holes) it's probably too lean now. That would be letting in more air than the stock jets can handle. Either find a lid or jet up. Hope this helps

Hahaha. All i did was take out the restrictors and all is running fine even without the filter on the carb,do you think if i do find a filter and drill holes in it,will it run even better than what it is now. Also what i wanted to find out is,you guys have been talking about re-jetting,how do i do that.when you guys are talking about drilling the jets and the pilot jet out and replacing it with larger ones, are the jets that you speak of are they the over flow nozzles, where are the jets and what do they look like.
You have no idea how much i appretiate the help
Thx
