i think this website is my new best friend,..i sort of have the same problem as you have responded to in you post.,.Let me explain,.got a kazuma lacoste 110cc for my son,..with no instruction manual,.so i phoned them and they said that i was to drain the "shipping" oil out and replace it ,.also drain the "shipping" gear oil out,.now i drained what i thought was the gear oil out(the glass viewing panel emptied,.so i thought this was the gear oil out),.. i then proceded to pour new gear oil into the hole on the left hand side of the engine,....which i have now found out is the alternator side,...COMPLETELY WRONG I KNOW.You say that there is no more Diff oil ,.and that there is no more dipstick to check the oil,..this must mean that the viewing window IS for ENGINE OIL and that i just need to refill with engine oil,..and that their rubbish manual,.is ,..well ,..rubbish. I take it i will need to remove the cover from the left hand side and completely dry it all out before starting it up. Is it possible to tell which model should and shouldn't have a dipstick and gear oil,..by serial numbers or something.Any responses would be gratefully read ,...
Please tell me that all the above is correct,.please
Sorry i was supposed to quote Raceway ATV

Thanks for getting back to me. Out of the blue I received the glass meter in the mail today( must have got thru to somebody). I'll try to install it. If not I'll contact you on the cover. Thanks again for finding it.
PS I went and looked at an '05 Yamaha Raptor 80 for my daughter (14). Just have a feeling the Lacoste will be more trouble then it's worth. Do you have any feedback on the Raptor?
Thanks again,
Steve

If your daughter is 14 though a Raptor 80 might be a bit small.

I have a Kazuma 110 and have put over 200 miles on it. The quad has held together well despite the beating I have given it. However, if you’re not mechanically inclined it might be best to buy a brand name. After every day of riding I found it necessary to look over the whole unit to check for loose bolts and make adjustments. Perhaps an hour of maintenance for each day of riding. Parts are everywhere online and have been able to get them rather quickly. As for the lube oil note in the book, yes I questioned it also but found no place to put the lube oil. If you have put lube oil in the crankcase I would let it drain, then fill with the correct oil, start it and let it warm up and change the oil. I would repeat this until the engine oil did not smell like lube oil.

,.. yeah i let it all drain out ,.then i put proper engine oil in ,(.where its supposed to go this time),..used it today,..no problems,..quite a fast little thing 45mph easy.I wil take on board your note about maintenance,..should probably do this anyway no matter what brand of machine you've got,.cheers. oh 1 more question,..the tyres,..which ones go where ?? i have the small tred ones on the front,.(these ones have direction arrows) and the bigger tred ones on the back is this right i dont think that it is,..any info greatly received,...ta
