Why no 4x4?

I agree with the need of a 4x4 for smaller riders, I think an ozark or recon with a limited slip woulde be cool but your still looking at over 400 lbs,,,, ouch that woul hurt most kids so you'd definatly have to develope a 150 to 160 cc motor and probably an autoclutch 5sp rather than a cvt. The rally 200 from bbr has good power and could be mated to a transfer case maybe. Well also an old 4 runner suzuki with super low range could crawl

Im rite there with you guys. I bought my kids a dsc90 2stroke that runs excellent, goes up some pretty steep grades even with me on it. But for trail rides where terrain isn't even, it's over. Dont call the atv popo on me but my kids are 6 and 8 respectively. They absolutely love the sport, they dont however like all the protection (ie. chest, arm, side protectors and full helmets along with gloves) but they put up with em. The youngest had to get used to it alot more as he is still going thru the whole MY HEAD IS HEAVIER THAN THE REST OF MY BODY thing.
I wonder if we could start a petition and then send it off to the manufacturers. If they saw there was indeed a market, yea never know what could come of it.

I don't need a mini quad in 4x4 9YET) but I agree it would be a GREAT idea. most the area I am riding a reg. mini just can not handle the trails. I am looking for a SMALL 4x4 for the misses and can not find much. A Recon would be awesome in 4x4 for her, small and light weight. The Rancher is a little big but I think it is the smalles 4x4 you can get. good luck with the Mini and I hope someone comes out with one to fullfill your wished.

Code54, check your atv trader or local papers, i picked up a polaris xplorer 4x4 250cc in excellent condition a couple years back for a song. I did some research an people were always telling me to never get rid of it, the little xplorer just wont die. And so far no issues other than a new starter, but it was going out when i bought it. The little bike works my property real well, pulling tree's ive just cut down off and it always has a poly cart in tow. In fact it pulls my wife out when she sinks her scrammy 400 4x4...hehe.

Kamots - That is not a bad idea, I sort of forgot all about them. I am going to have to look around for one a bit. The other idea was the old Fourtrax 300's - they are sort of smaller and known to run forever. I will have to check out the used market and if not.... I guess the Rancher. Thanks for the good idea - I will be checking into that!
