Even if you bypass all the kill switches it wont start without the brake pressed. You cant bypass any of them anyways because it has to make a complete circuit The only kill switch is the rear tether, key and the on/off switch. The brake is a safety start not a kill.

So in other words I need to connect that clip and I guess it was 2 wires back up on the left handlebar? I sorry to annoy you with the questions but a couple of other guys said to disconnect them because it may be a short an to bypass the whole ignition.

I have my Polaris, Yamoto, Yerf dog and Powerwheels sportsman. Also have a meerkat50 on the yay. All the kill switches on this completes the ground circuit. There is no such thing as a short in a ground circuit. Any of these that are disconnected or activated causes an open circuit in the ground there for it will not start or it will die. . The Brake switch is a start safety only. It will NOT start without this pressed. Dont worry questions are not annoying. Thats what the forums are for.

Thanks I have gotten rid of most of my toys. The only thing left is the sand rail. Do you have a wiring manual on your yerf because I was so fustrated that I just started pulling wires trying to figure out the problem? The website yerf-dog doea not offer any help. I even called and they said that they don't make them anymore and gave me a number of a sales person in Chicago. If you have the manual it would really help. Thanks Joe

I do not have a manual. I am a mechanic so it just comes natural to me. I may be able to tell you what wires go where.

So basically what I need to do is attempt to rewire everything and try using the clutch or brake to start this thing? How is the performance on this thing, top end and power?

I really like the yerf. It is very quick with the top speed about 35mph. It can pull me around really well and I weigh 230lbs. It is just too small for my 7yo and too big for my 4yo.

cool, I might keep after all if i ever get it started! So what you are basically saying is that the spark or current is cut from the plug if the left brake is not depressed? Are ther substitute parts for this brand like honda parts?

No substitute parts but they have been very reliable. yerf dog has been around for a long time. And yes in a sense current is cut if the brake is not pressed while starting.
