You do not have to support the filter because it bolts right to the carb. You will have to eliminat the airbox.

Ordered the filter and its on its way, but also having a small problem on take off. When i throttle on, it will die a litttle and choke a bit but past 1/4 throttle it takes off fine and runs smooth. Adjusted the mixer and throttle screw but with no results. Will probably take badvox's advice and upgrade the carb. any suggestions til' then?

Ah, another thing I learned from those over 2 years is that the gas tanks sometimes come complete
with crud in them. I could always tell those that gassed them up and let them sit because I would
open up the drain screw and gooped up junk would come out. Sometimes they do not clean out the gas tanks
good enough or at all.

So, check that. If you have crud then let it clean out a bit. Clean the carb from the cleanout screw
and try adjusting again. Make sure its good and warm when you adjust it.

Jimmyatv,

If you have problems with throttle above 1/4 you need to lower the clip on the needle jet.

Hi again, just like to say thank you to all that have helped me out with my throttle problem. Did everything that you all suggested and now the bike is running fine.

Thanx again for the help.

I haven't upgraded to a k&n yet but the first thing I did was took the carb off and
pulled the jet found a drill bit one size bigger than the hole and ran it threw make
sure it is clean before you put it back together...

The bike idles smoother and has more power. oh its a jetmoto 150
the filter upgrade is a must in my book especially in dust/sandy conditions...
