hey guys and gals
i need help with sons quad. i got my son a 150 yamoto 2 yrs ago. but he has rode it maybe 10 times. it will start and run about 10 mins then dies. then u can kick and kick and it just wont start back. electric start went bad in about a week. have broke the left nerf bar off trying to get it kick started. i would apreciate any help i can get!!!!!

 

When was the last time he rode it? MAybe the gas is bad. Some of the older ones had problems with the vent in the gas cap. Undo the cap and see what happens. Are you getting spark or fuel once it dies?

 

he was riding it when it died and i checked the gas cap and there is a vent hole. i dont get any spark. i had the coil checked and it is good. i broke down today and took it to a dealer. to get it fixed.

 

I hope its just the spark plug, did you change it before taking it in? I change mine every 4 months, just to be safe.

 

i got it fixed seems they will not run with a bad battery

Halo i have the same problem with my atv. Is it the 150 Ato. Is the bike still running fine since you replaced the battery.
