Default Baja 150 Xtreme atv starting problems

My son was riding his ATV and all of a sudden it died and would not start back up again. The starter doesn't even turn over. We checked the battery and that wasn't the problem. We took off the mount where the starter and kill switch are located and checked that out and nothing was wrong there. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I had the same problem with my son's Baja150 last week. I found that even though the battery was @ 12volts it would not turn over. I went to WalMart bought a new battery and I have had no problems. All my wiring was fine but when I tried to start it with the old battery my volt meter dropped like a lead weight... I'm not sure if its a definite cure but I'll gladly keep you posted on my results!I am also thinking that there may be a "heat" issue with the starter(should've checked prior to new battery but didn't).
We have gone out on a few "short" trips with no problems, Yesterday was a long day and still no problems.

does the engine turn over ? Ie the engine locked up. Check the clutch interlock, try jumping it with another battery

Haggen1, how do you like your baja 150 extreme? Have you made any mods to it ? If so what? I have 2 of these and my dad has 1, we like them.

I have to say for a "small company that I never even heard of" I was very impressed with this product! I haven't put any upgrades on it yet. I honestly don't even know whats available for them. My son has a blast on it every weekend we go out. I need to look into something for it soon but I am in the process of purchasing a new toy (07 Grizzly) for myself. The Polaris 330 is to small for me.
Any links or products you know of for these machines?

Do you know if the 150 baja has a choke, having a lot of trouble starting and don't see a choke.

Thanks, Jeff

Is it a baja 150 recreation or an extreme 150. extremes have a choke recreations have an automatic choke. I have both and both are cold blooded and hard to start when really cold. The recreation you have to let it idle for awhile before you can give it some gas.
