Default SunL 50-95 modifications??

OK, I just picked up a SunL 95cc quad. Looks good so far, I'm starting the basic maintenance and quick fixes. Saved about $160 off the prices I've seen on here. They must have wanted to get rid of the old model.

I've turned in the throttle screw to keep it under 15mph for now.
Changed the oil to Quaker State.
I've blue loctited most of the bolts. I green loctitied the suspension bolts.
I took off the pull kill switch compeltely, by disconnecting the 2 wire harness.
I have a good battery charger, will get a battery as soon as I try this one dies out.
I have the older version without the motor mounts on top of the engine. Should be OK for my 7 year old.
The hardware is better than the yamoto, even has locking features on some of the nuts.
I'll run it for 30 minutes to get teh gel out of the carb before I start to tune it.

Now the questions:

1) The air filter is hitting another regulator/relay looks like. Is there a way to move the air filter to another easier area? Maybe a pvc extention? I have a lathe in the garage, so thats fairly easy. No oil on the air filter, need to do that.

2) For the missing engine braces, has anyone done anything? I don"t mind machining a bracket, just can't weld - "wife's rules"

3) Anyone put a safety flag on the back?

4) Anyway to disconnect the alarm totally?

5) What is the NGK spark plug number? The book has a number, but no mfg.

Thanks for your help.

had the same issures, this is what i did
1 i rotated the airfilter till i had clearance, also oil the airfilter with pj1 airfilter oil
2 did nothing, haven't had a problem
3 fab and welded a short piece of metal on the frame just behind the plasic body, appox 1 1/4" wide and 2 1/2 long with a 3/4" hole
4 ngk c7hsa

one more thing i did was take the connectors apart and squeeze some dielectric grease in them, then cover the whole connectors with liquid electrical tape, it makes it pretty much water proof, so when you wash the quad you don't hafta worry about it starting afterwards.

I bought a UNI angled air filter UP-4152AST. That fit nicely. Thanks for the NGK number.
