#1
Hey wassup everyone?
Well I recently bought a wicked mini NOS kit of ebay and I just installed it on my rockin' lt80 quad and I just tried it out and...
IT IS SO F@#$ING FAST DUDES, I MEANS IT TEARS UP THE DIRT AND SPITS IT OUT SO ITS SO TOTALLY AWESOME! I HAD THE MOTO REVVED UP A BIT AND PRESSED THE BUTTON AND IT WENT TO TOP SPEED IN LIKE A SECOND!
IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY BUY A KIT CAUSE IT IS SO TOTALLY WORTH IT.
Just remember not to hold down the button too long cause it aint good for ya engine peeps, just hold it for like 1 to 3 seconds and repeat (always repeat for max speed)
This is wicked kid signing out,
Bye yo.
PS. IF U WANT TO SEE SUM PICS OF IT ADD ME TO MSN AT: wassupgeo@hotmail.com

Nitrous Oxide is what many people use when they don't know how to make horsepower any other way. Nitrous will show you the kind of "stuff" your engine is made of,,,,, "cause it will lay it out on the ground for you. I'm sure that cast piston is loving every minute of it. Good luck with your chemical dependancy.

wtf are you talking about? well the only reason i got NOS kit is cause i'm 14, i live in australia and its very f@$king hard to get mods and stuff. And i'm not going to waste money to just buy american mods and also have to pay the currency converting fee and all that other crap.
UNLESS YOU HAVE A BETTER IDEA THAN TELL ME AND DONT SAY BUY SOME MODS CAUSE I JUST SAID THEY DONT SELL MODS IN AUS AND IF THEY DO THEN THEY'RE TOO EXPENSIVE. AM REMEMBER I'M 14 SO I AM NOT AN ENGINE GENIOUS AND I DONT KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT MODDING. ALL I KNOW IS THAT MY NOS KIT IS WORKING BEAUTIFULLY ON ITS 8GRAM BOTTLES SO IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS STUFF THEN TELL ME IN A NORMAL WAY NOT LIKE 'THAT CAST PISTON IS LOVING IT' AND ITS HARD TO TELL SARCASM FROM NON SARCASM WHEN ITS WRITTEN SO EXCUSE ME MR SCIENCE FREAK BUT UNLESS ITS REALLY IMPORTANT DONT TELL ME ANY STUPID CRAP! IF YOU LOOK AROUND EVERYONE HAS GOT NOS, EVERYWHERE AND I BET YOU THINK ITS LIKE THOSE GIAN BOTTLES RIGHT? WRONG WRONG WRONG! I USE 8 GRAM BOTTLES, 8 G-R-A-M BOTTLES, UNDERSTAND? IT WONT KILL MY ENGINE AND IT WONT DAMAGE IT SO NO PROBLEMS WITH IT. UNLESS YOU GOT VISUAL PROOF THEN TELL ME ABOUT IT AND SHOW ME IT.
NOW GOOD DAY AND BAD BYE!

Yeah I know what you mean. 8 grams is only .282 (notice the decimal point) ounces.

Dont mean to ofend, but i also live in Australia and if you think its too hard finding mods here for your LT than your not looking hard enough.
Normally i would point someone in the right direction to help find these mods, but as you put it, you dont know everything about modding then maybe you need to do some research of your own. And by the way, is it really necessary to use that sort of language on this forum?
Just my opinion but i dont think speaking like that and also asking for help in the same post is going to get you very far at all.
Try looking harder, you will be surprised!

hi guys,
i'm sorry if i offended you because i was in a bad mood since my rc boat starting cracking by itself on the back even though i didnt crash it and again i am sorry if i offended you guys. Also i was angry because i had 5 assignments of work to do and private skools have heaps of hard work.
well as you said 8 gram bottles dont last too long and they are fairly cheap. do you know those gas powered cream dispenser? well that n20 in those canisters so i buy in bulk and save. i just go to the homeware shops and stuff and they sell them there. I can buy 360 bottles bulk for 180 bucks aus. and they last for about 10 seconds but i only use it abit at a time for safety.
And yes you are right jimmyatv, i am not a pro at modding and could you please tell me where you can get some mods? please? I know the basics of engine and stuff and my dad is always here to help me with it and he know alot about engine, i mean heaps!
By the way crowfly if you think i'm bad you should go to the skool next to mine which has gangs, fires, breakins and their skool versus my skool bashings. My skool is private and so is theres.
Thanks guy for everything and again i'm sorry if i offended you:-(
bye

Hello,
I too apologize for the rough start we encountered. I used to be 14 at one time,,, or at least I think I was, it's hard to remember back that far . I started racing motocross in 1969 on a yamaha 125 AT1M. I never was a great rider, but I could build good horsepower. I usually ran somewhere in the middle of the pack. I loved every minute of it. I could have just as much fun trying to finish 9th. instead of 10h. as I would trying to finish 1st. instead of 2nd. It became apparent to me very quick that horsepower is only 1 piece of the pie. If I would have concentrated on improving my riding skills as much as I did building horsepower, I would have been a better rider. I could beat most of the other bikes to the first turn, then they'd start coming around me. I didn't care. I was a mechanic, not a rider. I have been fortunate enough to be involved in many types of motorsports racing. Go-carts with engine names like West Bend & McCulloch. R/C pylon racing airplanes with Fox, Webra & Rossi engines. Drag racing cars with Chevrolet engines of all sizes. Drag racing boats with 2.5 liter Mercurys. My Bullet bass boat has a 280 hp.,2.5 mercury & will run 100+ mph. So much for my background, lets get down to LT/KFX ' 80's. Like you, I too am new at "hopping up" this particular model. Oh yeah, I don't ride one,,,,, but my grandson does. This forum has some good info. & some good people on it. Jack Moore, (goes by lt80) is very knowledgeable on lt80s & post on this forum quite frequently. Because of the variable ratio transmission, performance tuning the lt80 takes on some different aspects from a Quad with a 5 or 6 speed "stick shift". With the stick shift, you choose the engine RPM by upshifting or downshifting. The LT80's rpm is set by the transmission. I'm talking about wide open throttle here. Naturally if you let off the throttle, the rpm will drop. The lt80 transmission will hold the rpm steady as it goes through it's range of "gears" (for lack of a better word). After all the range of the transmission is used up & you're in high "gear" then the RPM will start to climb again. Let me stop & point out a few things for clarity. The names that people use for the different components in the drive train are often mislabeled & can create confusion when discussing them. The front clutch is not a clutch, the rear clutch may or may not be a clutch, & there is a set of gears running in oil that give speed reduction (torque increase) but they don't shift gears. There is also a 2 plate disc clutch used as a shock absorber on the drum of the real clutch that gets very little discussion because it doesn't give much trouble. WHEW what a mess. It's not terribly important that everyone call these parts by their correct names, but it is important that everyone in the discussion knows which part you're talking about. I like to call them, the front variator, the rear variator, & the centrifugal clutch. When I use these names most everyone knows what component I'm talking about. If someone called me & said I need some new rollers for that round thingy that is fastened to the crankshaft, I'd know what they were talking about, but I refuse to call it a round thingy. What all this boils down to is, these parts neeed to be modified only to the extent that they match the modifications to the engine. I'm going to throw out some horsepower & rpm figures that may not be accurate, but they will work for discussion purposes. Lets say that your stock engine is making 3hp at 4000rpm 5hp at 7000rpm & 4hp at 9000 rpm. If the stock variator holds the engine back to 4000 rpm, then all the time that we're winding up through the "gears" , we're doing so with a 3hp engine. We could benefit from increasing this variator holding speed to 7000 rpm. Then all the time we're winding up, we're doing so with a 5hp engine. If we raise the speed too far to 9000 rpm we have overreved & lost horsepower. Now if your modified engine is making 2.5hp at 4000rpm , 4.5hp at 7000rpm & 8hp at 9000rpm, then you can see that the stock variator would kill us, the slightly modified (7000rpm) variator would have us running at 4.5hp (slightly less than stock) but the super variator mods would have us charging along at 8hp for a tremendous power gain. You can see that it's important to "hold" the engine at the rpm where it's making it's best horsepower. For more information on modifying your variator, do a search on this forum using words like variator, clutch, ROLLERS, lt80, lt 80. All 2stroke people need to visit "macdizzy". He has a good article on the lt80 & a ton of other 2stroke info. The address is www.macdizzy.com Read the 2stroke software article & visit the software websites for a ton of info. Macdizzy also has several discussion forums. Of particular intrest is the LT forum & the small bore forum. I'll try to find some more info. for you, but I'm starting to get tired now.
