Hello to all,

No beating around the bush!

My son's predator 50 is running with a high squealing noise located approx at gear case area.... I looked at the gear oil and it was dark.. I decided to change the gear oil. Now.. According to the manual, it is suppose to take approx 17 ozs. I was only able to get about 9 ozs in it was overflowing?? anyone change gear oil and how much did you put in.. IN the meantime, I took out enough oil until the level came down to the "safe" indicator level. My son ran it about ten minutes and the squeal is still there.. and.... the oil is now a bluish / silver color.. sign of gearing issues?? or clutch issue??

any assistance is greatly appreciated...

Update... Found metal fragments in the oil! NOt a good sign.. Contacted the dealer, made appointment, gonna take two weeks before they can even look at it... gonna remove gearcase and have a lookie... who knows what I will find!

what until I tell the kid.. no quad for 3 weeks... I can hear it now!.
