Red Cat 250 won't start
#1
I bought Redcat 250 quad about 6 months ago for my 15 year old son and have had nothing but trouble. I seem to trade one problem for another; and now it simply won't start. It appears to have spark and gas but when I turn it over it doesn't even come close to sounding like it will fire. I did a compression test and found only 40 psi. I appreciate any help.
thanks in advance,
Rick

You having trouble too? When it runs it seems to be fine, but I just can't keep it running. What would you buy next? Whatever I buy I don't want to work on it; I have enough projects already.

Sir,
Personally, I will buy a Honda. I have two old ones I love and I'm just partial to them. I read and was to believe they copied the Hondas...so I thought I could get a Honda cheap. Don't get me wrong, they are not total crap, but I will never go outside Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Harley or Kawasaki again. Good luck and call Raceway and ask for help. These guys here have been through it too and will be very helpful. When I took mine out the first time...I thought my wife was going to kill me. She gave up and got on her old quad. Good luck. Not yet, I tore it apart and found the piston and cylinder scored. Now waiting for parts. In the meantime I bought a new Honda 400 4x4 (Rancher) for my son and a Polaris 500 4x4 for me.
