Default Baja 90 VS Eton Viper speed, etc.

My cousin's son recently got a new Baja 90 so we did a little comparison to my son's Viper 90 over a couple of weeks of riding. Here are a few things that we noticed..The dual front A-arms on the Baja work very well and give it the edge on the front suspension over rough bumps...The Viper has a much better rear shock and seems to have more travel, definetly much softer...We did some radar runs on a hard packed gravel road. The first runs were long ( approx 300 ft)with the atvs fully wound out.The baja had a best of 23 MPH vs 27 for the Viper. Our Viper has run as fast as 29 on other days so the heat on this particular day probably was a factor.A shorter test of about 140 FT had the Baja@ 21 mph and the Viper@23 mph...This seemed to be the perfect lenght for the Baja as it was just hitting the rev limiter at the finish line...A shorter run of 60 ft had the Baja@24KPH and the Viper@26KPH...I forgot to get MPH instead of KPH(kilometres per hour) on the last run...I wish I would have known how to disconnect the rev limiter on the Baja for the test to see if it could have equalled the Viper in top speed....The trans worked well on the Baja for this test with a very noticeable shift into high gear that I could hear as well as see as the tires would rip up the dirt on the shift. The Viper had a little more wheel spin as the wider tires floated a little on the very hard packed dirt along with the extra bottom end grunt of the engine....So there you have it.The results of a brand new Baja VS a 3 year old Viper...In my opinion the overall quality is much better on the Viper but for the price the Baja seems to be a good deal at less than half the price of the Viper if your just into trail cruising on a budget....I wanted to post the actual speeds of these machines as I read lots of posts of the Baja supposedly going in the 50s or 60s KPH on the speedo. Our test version read that it was going in the mid 50s while it was actually going 39 on radar.

Thanks for the comparison. I forget, is the Baja 90 a 4 stroke? If so, it was closer to the Viper than I would have thought.
