New Roller Weights Redcat VX150
I would like to get more torque out of my Redcat VX150 so I was thinking
about changing my roller weights. They Are 18X14-12.7 gram any suggestions
on What % to lower them and if I do should I change the rear torsion spring?
If so what size (RPM) spring should I go to ?

On a stock bike without a pipe or intake mods that wont breathe any more than stocK I'd stay with the stock weights. If you think it will turn a little more rpm because of mods, or if you want it to take off faster from say 5 mph to 30 then you can go a little lighter. I'd definately stay within 1 gram of stock for each weight. As far as the rear torsion spring, if you dont see much belt dust/residue in your clutch cover then you dont need to change the rear torque spring. As far as the dummys on ebay thinking the rear torque driver spring is "an engagement spring" they are very wrong it will only tune the shiftout/top rpm before the clutches shiftout to a higher range/top gear. It wont raise the engagement rpm. Hope this helps.

Fastestdad:
I have put a Uni filter on it with stock exhaust . It ran rich so went from a 111 to a 127.5
jet it increased my power but on long steep hill climbs I think I drop over the HP curve.
It poops out at the top so I want get the RPM up higher for a little more kick at
the hill tops. The two hills are about 30 deg 75 ft high. [see my pic's]

I'm pretty sure he meant lean. Added a uni filter etc leaned it out. That would be a really steep hill for a little 150cc bike. If you are gonna ride in stuff like that i'd definately wind that motor up some more with lighter rollers but 1 or 2 grams each for a total of 6-12 grams less is quite a bit lighter I wouldnt get rollers weighing 1/2 the stock ones. You could try taking one roller out to try it and see how it does. I'd have to look it up but i think the 150s have somewhere around 10 or12 gram rollers. That would be 6 rollers weighing 10 or 12 grams each.

Bill,
Did a new set uo on my VX150cc Redcat.
10g Roller Weights
127.5 jet
22X11x8 tires
This setup pulls hills like my buddys Redcat 200cc now may be a little
over board on the tire. Maybe 20" would have been better.
But real happy with the setup. Just got a basket case Boreem 110cc
as a project. The fun starts again.
thx for all your input
