question for john @ raceway
#1
I have a mini falcon 90; rear brake seems very hot to touch after approx 10 minutes of riding (and not much braking). The front brakes are not. I think this has something to do with a 'loss of power' at about the same time. The ATV is also harder to push at this time. Is there some adjustment on this rear brake that I can make?

Does this atv have a foot pedal for the rear brake? If it does, check to make sure your child is not resting their foot on the brake lightly when they ride. To make a long story short, I thought I was having the same problem as you (rear brake disc very hot to the touch, rear wheels would barely move/loss of power). I thought it was the brake locking up and/or a problem with the trans but to my suprise I watched my son riding and noticed that he was resting his foot near/on the brake pedal. When I brought this to his attention, he moved his foot further away to resist resting it on the pedal. Now no problems.
