Santa is going bring my 6yo son a 50cc quad for xmas except he doesnt know which one he should set under the xmas tree, yamaha vs. kawasaki. or should santa look else where? any info. would be very helpful to santa!! thanks :confused ;

 

Between those 2, go with the Kawi. If it is the '07 model, it is a newer design with better suspension. The '06 2 stroke is still a better option.

 

hey thanks for responding. one problem with the kawi 07 is that they changed the grip/brake width so my son's hands cant comfortably/safely squeeze brakes.

Forget about the yami and kawi. You want a good 50cc quad then look at the Unison Desert Cat 50. This is every bit as good as the other name brands if not better. It will cost alot less than the top brands. For a 6yo this would be perfect or you can even look at the dc90. They both have foot brakes with front hand brakes. These are very tough machines. These are made by the same company that makes the Polaris minis and many others. Look at them at raceway.com. You will not be dissapointed.

 

How does kymco compare to Unison? Are they similar?

 

Hello.Nice present.Your kid will be in awe when he sees that thing under the tree..Anyhow I can personally say that the suzuki lt50 is also a good machine.I have a 1983 that all my kids have been beating on over the years and that little bugger still runs great today.Good luck on your choice..

 

For a 6yo the suzuki and kawi are going to be too small expecially in about a year. Kymco is very good also. The size of the unison is perfect for a 6yo and the 50cc motor has lots of power.
