Default 2005 Viper 90s

I have 2 2005 Viper 90s, both are stock. One is inheritantly faster than the other. I have checked the CDI adjustment and both are on 7. Throttle adjustment screws are out on both all the way. Can anyone explain why this may be? I also have a Viper 50 in which I have cut the "green" wire. Does this mod apply to the 90 as well? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I can tell you the green wire that you can cut is not like that on the 90's or even newer modles

Is there any green wire or other wire that restricts the performance on a Viper 90? If so which one is it and where is it located? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

On your machines there is no green wire. You may want to look at maybe changing the plug or cleaning the air filter if all is good try taken out or cleaning the spark arrestor.

The viper 90s had the green wire up till 2005 I believe. Then they went to the adjustable style that you have..I think it depends more what year you have than 50 vs 90.Our 04 viper 90 had the green wire....Regarding your question try different settings on the slower model.I've heard the dial isn't all that accurate on some of the cdi boxes so trial and error is the best method....
