sunl 110 for kids
#1
Bought to sunl's, the 250 and the 110 for the kids. the 250 is running great, for the price that is, and have had no problems here with the cold. THe issue i am having is onthe 110.
When i bought it the battery died so bought a new one and has 2 issues. It won't start without jumping it, the battery doesn't have enough power, as soon as i put cables on it starts right up so battery is not holding a charge or recharging
the other thing is it won't idle and not sure what to adjust. have adjusted the carb, I think and still not idling high enough to not have my finger on the throttle.
Took these out with the snowmobile in the snow last night and had a blast but had to keep jumping the 110, wouldn't start by itself and wouldn't idle high enough.
Can someone please help, thanks

Welcome to the forums emaerz. I bought a mini ute from raceway that is a dead ringer for the sunl min utility. First thing, my battery also dies quick, you already did good by purchasing a new battery for it. The may be a stupid question, but did you charge the new battery for about 12 hours with a slow charge (about 2 amps)? As for your carb issue, turn your air screw in all the way, don't tighten it, just turn it to where it stops. Then back it out 2 full turns, this is where I needed to set mine. See if that helps. If not, you might want to start thinking about tearing apart the carb and cleaning it. Let us know if this helps.

will go home and do that first with the carb.
Yes i did charge it at 2 amps. and said full charge but still wouldn't start without a jump.
thanks so much for your help, should i buy another batery??

Two things:
1. Take the battery to an autopart store to have it tested before you buy another. My CoolSport 250 was having alot of trouble like that, but it turns out my starter is bad.
2. For the carb, not only set the air screw, but also adjust the idle higher. Also try a new, name brand spark plug.

when i look underneath to the screws, there is only one screw, that isn't for the idle correct, where would that be to raise the idle?
will take it to an auto place first to test battery, thank you and let me know on the screw/idle, thanks

I'm not sure on your quad. My 250 has a screw "under" the carb on the engine side for air/fuel mix. The Idle adjust is a screw with a spring near the throttle cables.
Hopefully someone with this model or similar can let you know were the two screws are.
