I removed the clutch and pulled the weights off. Clamped the weights into a vice and started drilling some material out (didn't go whole way through though) Drilled about 5-6 dimples on each side of each weight using a 1/4" drill bit. The more material you remove, the higher the stall will be.

Cool video I remember when my kids used to ride like that. Now they want to take Dads bikes out and race anybody and everybody. Sure brought back alot of memories.
When the front shieve is fully compressed does the belt ride up on the front pully to the point where the back of the belt is even with the top or protruding 1/8 of an inch if not on alot of auto bikes you can mill off a little of the center of the shieves on both sides allowing them to come closer together and the belt will ride higher on the front shieve resulting in more top end speed and it won't affect bottom end torque at all not sure with the mini's but that is how they are getting more top end speed on the Rhino's. Hope this helps.

The LT50s don't have a tranmission or CVT setup. Just a clutch.

No, could never pull the wheels. It just helps him get off the line quicker. He's able to do some good donuts now

I tried to find springs, but couldn't find anything this small that are the correct length and heavier than what's in there.

>>He can climb some good hills now<<

My son's 2002 LT-A50 has all but its exhaust restrictors still in place, and the throttle screw tightened down quite a bit (~12 MPH max on level ground), but he rides like that video every time he's on it. Hill climbs like the one in the video are everyday events. He can't spin doughnuts except on slick winter roads, but everything else looks just like your video.

I'm not knocking what you've done, I'm just surprised that it took that much work to get that kind of performance out of your machine. I'm also wondering what will happen when I start opening up OUR little quad. I've backed off the throttle screw when servicing the machine and the untapped power in that engine is amazing. And that's not even touching the intake restrictor, the common carb adjustments, etc.

Are you saying that the stock (pre-mods) machine wouldn't do everything in the video?

No, he could do all of the climbing before the mods (sans the restrictors). He just gets up to speed MUCH quicker now.
