Mom trying to pick out best ATV for my 7 year old son. He has had limited experience driving them. I've been looking at a 2007 Kazuma 90cc ~ Is this a good choice? Thanks

last i read roketa was going belly up and was dumping their atv's , at swap meets they were selling 110cc for around $300. i had 2 kazuma dingos and we also had 2 meerkat, both for 2 years, the grandkids outgrew the meerkats and i purchased my prowler so i sold our dingos, i think kazuma is just about the best chinese atv made, the dingos had no problems in the 2 years of ownership and i rode mine almost daily, their's no problem with obtaining parts for the kazuma if needed. JUST SAY NO TO SUNL PRODUCTS, YOU'LL BE SORRY

stick with a name brand, you wont be sorry , no one wants to spend time trying to find parts for an off brand quad, also electric start and reverse is a must

I got my son a kazuma 50cc, its ok, but I recomend the same as g-man, kids=broken things=needs parts>and>fast. My kid bent everything, broke cap off the gastank, oil turns black too fast, too exspensive for parts on line. I only payed 300 brand new because I knew somebody, but I wouldn't have even tossed the idea around otherwise. My whole family rides so IDK what your kid may be up for. My nefew is 8 and never rode before until he got a KFX 90, and he goes out with us, even crosses the same rivers too. and for the most part he keeps up, my 5 year old just isn't ready yet but as soon as he is i will get him the real quad, be whatever brand my pocket can afford, but it will be one of the leading brands who have dearlerships and shops where I can just stop there if I need an oil filter etc.

like G-man said, if you stick with a name brand you wont be sorry. If one of the chinese brands craps out, you bought it for $300, you take any metal part on it to the scrap yard for $20 maybe and buy a new one, its so hard to get parts and service on those its not even funny. The Polaris 90s are great. For $2100 you can get it down to, coming from experience with my cousin who just bought an 07 Outlaw 90, very big chasis and deep floor boards on it, Im 16 and felt fine on it. Its got lights, Forward/Neutral/Reverse, electric start with a back up kick, air cooled 4 stroke, you cant go wrong. They MRSP for $2,300, Polaris is running a $50 off here, so its down to $2,250, they took off $150 since they had a bunch left over, so it was $2,100, also includes a helmet valued at $200 a flag so the can be seen, and it comes with a Free safety training course. If you wanted cheaper, they might have an 06 Predator 90, they were selling fr $2,000 at our local, so they maybe a little more, but we just resold one of ours for $1,500. It was an 05 Predator 90 we baught for $2,350 almost 3 years ago, so they have tremendous resale value,

So if you do the math, the polaris cost you $850.

Good luck with your choice,

Jim

What do you guys think about the Jetmoto 150 ATV? I wrecked my sons Roketa and bent the bars on it . I want to get him a new one and keep that one for my self.
