Default Oil Change

I'm new to atvs and ran in to a surprise when attempting to change the oil. I found what I thought had to be the drain plug and removed it. Out came a long spring attached to a metal cylinder with holes in it. The one thing that did not come out was the oil. The dip stick shows that its full. Can I get some tips on what I need to be doing? I didn't see any other bolt on the bottom that looked like it would be a drain plug.

Thanks
Bryan

i,m not an expert but, on my sunl 125, there are 2 bolts on the bottom of the engine. one is at an angle (the oil pump bolt) and one is straight in (the oil drain bolt) the one that you loosened is the oil pump plug bolt. look around for the other one
