Giovanni 50cc - Setscrew and Nut RHS Case
#1
Hey,
Finally got the little Gio for our six year old. He loves it. All in all a pretty decent little machine. I do have to get a larger rear sprocket for it though ..
Issues I had:
1. The chain seems to have stretched. The adjusters are as tight as they can go but there's still lots of slack in the chain, especially when warm.
2. The left inner tierod castle nut was a shade too big for the threads on the tierod end. Two M10's locked together with locktite should do the trick for now. New end is on order
3. The most currently pressing issue. On the right hand side of the engine case there seems to be an adjustment screw and locking nut there. Oil is weeping around this arrangement. What is it for and any suggestions on how I can stop the oil weeping around it?
Other than that it's a great little rig. It starts fairly well, and runs very strong. I just need to get it geared down a bit because it's sluggish to get moving on the rough stuff with the throttle limited.
If anyone can offer up a suggestion for my item #3 then that would be super. I presume that the chain can be shortened, either that or I'll see about a larger rear sprocket and gain some adjusting room that way.
Cheers!
