Default Cool Sports 110 ATV

I have a Cool Sports 110 ATV and when I changed the oil I dropped the plug and out came the oil. I thought the other one was a filter, and since I have never changed/cleaned the filter I thought I would take it out.

When I took it out a spring came out, and some oil, but nothing else. I left it in the garage overnight and in the morning looked at the pan to find..... something else had fallen into the screen. It was about 3 inches long, metal, with a few holes through it and black on one end, and some sort of ball bearing on the other end.

So the question is, anyone know which way goes in FIRST? the black or the other end? Help appreciated!

Duh, after looking cleaning all the parts and looking at them it was fairly obvious the black end went in first. But if someone wants to confirm this, that would be cool!

Yes the black end goes in first. You pulled the wrong plug. That plug is for the chain tensioner. You need to pull the bigger plug on the right side not the left side.
