If you might be using Firefox the photos don't show up and they won't show up in the link unless put to address.

after the fact:

For the money that seems like a deal and it will be interesting to see what happens with this bike.

thanks outofline, road review this week dirt review month or two Iwould expect. The dang weather around here is crazy.

I'm in no way implying that the hi-bird is any way the same quality as this bike just that it looks like hi-bird may have designed theres after this.

The weather up here in MN is finally letting up so I was able to get out on the vbike for a ride. 2 wheel drive isn't the best for deep snow but I still had some fun. The rubber strap on the front of the muffler started to melt a bit but I suspect that too high of an idle speed may have been the cause of that. I have since adjusted the idle screw and everything seems to be fine. I still haven't sorted out the gear shift indicator light but it wasn't all that important. I also was able to get reimbursement from the shipping company for some of the damaged pieces. I still think that this vbike is quite a good deal. I hope I still feel that way after some riding time. My only recent negative observation is the quality of the seat vinyl. My seat already has some tiny nonpenetrating cuts in it and also doesn't seem to fit well in front. It seems like it can move around.. Anyone know of an adjustment for it?</end quote></div>

Hi. I went out this morning to see what you were talking about. You were right, I never noticed it before. There was quite a bit of play that needed my attention, so I came up with a quick fix.

I cut 4 pads 3/8 inch wide by 2 inches long from rubber sheet stock 1/8 inch thick. I rounded the corners (being fancy) after they were cut out using a razor knife. After a light scuffing with sandpaper, I glued them in place with emblem/weather strip adhesive. I cut 2 pieces of 3/8 I.D. clear tubing 3/4 inches long and slipped them over the seat engagement prongs. When the glue set up I installed the seat, and this showed that the fix worked well, no more loose seat!

I hope this "fix" will help.
