Ok, got it going after 2 days of rain here took it for a ride love it. I think the pictures are up now on "My Page" if any one is interested. One guy sent a private and said he liked the looks of it . So I am assuming they are public now

I had it out this afternoon and went over some forest trails , some pretty rough terrain. big boulders and rocks. We had a lot of rain here in the last 2 days and the creeks and streams were flooded . Where they were normally dry there was about 2 foot of water and not being familiar with the quad I didnt challenge them . But it handled good and solid. The only thing noticeable is the whine in low gears at low speed and high gears at high speed. The web site says 50+ Mph I dont know, I had it up in 5th a few times and wound up pretty tight for a few seconds I dont know how long that would go. The ride is rather solid unless the wife is on it , I weigh about 200 and it bumped me pretty hard a few times , then I moved the rear shock but that didnt help much. But I keep thinking for what I paid for it and what I intend to use it for I cant complain . I had the thing on some trails and terrain that I didnt even want to walk on . But it just purred along. Although starting up a steep incline I had to give a lot of gas or it killed itself. But it did climb say a 60 degree hilll with ease
For the money its more than a bargain. I keep telling myself its not a 4 or 5,000 machine so ease off

Good afternoon from the great State of Washington. I have been reading these Vbike forums for some time now just waiting to get out on mine. I'm happy to report that it did wonderfully. I had a friend of mine ride my 1994 Honda TRX 250 and I rode my v4s. We got them on the street to see how they compared at top-end speed. I'm happy to report that the speed was dead even. I can't tell you how fast we were going as no one had a speedometer. We also did a bit of hill climbing. The TRX felt a bit more secure, but it sits lower to the ground. Also, the TRX felt like it handled the hill a little easier. However, I must point out that the TRX is a 5 speed and the v4s is a 4 speed, so there is different gearing involved. I was impressed with the low-end power that the v4s had - we were climbing a pretty steep silt/clay hill.
Also, I hadn't fired up the v4s in almost a month, and it has been cold here. Again, I'm happy to report that it fired right up (the battery was solid, even without a trickle charger on it).
Couple of questions for someone: (1) My front-end feel stiff. What do you do to "loosen it up"? and (2) My gas cap is not threading correctly. Where can I get another one? Are the gas caps universal?

Nah, didnt really "open it up" I just got it up to 5th and hit the gas a little, still its cold out and damp . I was just curious as to what it might do . most of the time I was putt puttin around in 2nd or 3rd trying to keep the trees out of the front end . And yes its a shaft drive. Its not really a whine but thats the closet thing I can think of to describe it . I brought it home and left it on the trailer and going out later and see how the oils are after changeing the engine oil curious. I did notice and wasnt sure what it was yesterday but along with the dipstick there is also a little sight glass for the oil level as the dipstick is a !@#$%^&*( to get to .
