Default predator 90 problem

i am having a problem with a pred 90. the problem is it is backfiring at full throttle i was wondering if this could be a leak in the pipe? i installed a hetrick power kit stage C (pipe, clutch mods etc.) i also installed a cdi and a uni pod filter. i also installed a 120 main jet and boysen dual stage reeds. could it be any of these parts or should i be checking out the pipe? its all held together by springs. head pipe to engine then mid to head pipe. should i use automotive exhaust sealant in these joints?

how much increase in power have you seen with the powerup kit? was it worth all that money? my ten year old daughter needs more out of her predator 90 and i dont know if its a good idea to spend the money for the upgrades or get a bigger atv.
