I'm looking into various kits available online to upgrade the 50cc engine in my sons Kazuma Meerkat to 70cc. There are two reasons for my desires - 1) we've got a TON of hours on it and it's losing compression (yes, valves are adjusted properly - we have blow-by from the rings are wearing out), 2) the 50cc doesn't have the power to pull him up hills (his weight has increased but his size (height) isn't there to drive me to purchase a new/bigger model just yet). I am also considering changing the gear ratio to help with taking off on the hills on our property.

Anyways, I've found a couple offerings, one replaces the cylinder, piston and gaskets, the other replaces the cylinder, piston gaskets and head. This has raised a couple questions that I was hoping someone here could answer for me.

Is the head/valve train, camshaft and carb the same between the 50cc, 70cc, 90cc and 110cc engines (some replacement part websites indicate they are the same parts)?

Will upping the cc's to 70 require new jetting of the carb (if so, any recommendations)?

Lastly, I've noticed a need to adjust the valves about every other weekend (approx 10hr of riding). Any better quality valve train parts available such that I won't have to work on it so much?

Pm me and I will put you in touch with someone that has a 70cc full auto, the 70 is the same as a 50, these 70s have a lot of power and they fly.
